An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer to join a leading organisation in Dorset.
Role Responsibilities of the Buyer;
Identify and share expectations of price, availability, and supply base developments.
Manage sourcing projects along strategic sourcing process.
Propose sourcing strategy for material groups.
Supplier relationship management and dispute settlement.
Monitor implementation of group contracts and terms.
Liaise with quality for effective supplier approval.
Liaise with marketing for effective Supplier New Product Development.
Develop and maintain supplier scorecard and oversee supplier performance.
Liaise with planning team for supplier performance reviews.
Report savings for sourcing projects.
Added value from sustainability.
Personal Specification of the Buyer;
Degree Qualified or equivalent within a Business or related discipline.
CIPS qualification would be an advantage.
Significant experience of Buying.
Experience within a Retail / FMCG environment.
Strong commercial background.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Flexibility to travel as required.
This role would also suit you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Sourcing Specialist, Commodity Manager, Supplier Manager or Category Manager.
