We have a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer to join a busy and growing manufacturing company in Coventry, offering between £28,000 - £30,000. This role would be perfect for a someone who has worked in a purchasing environment who wants more of a stand-alone role. This person would be responsible for all the purchasing activity within the business so it's a great opportunity for someone who wants the next step in their career, or for someone wanting more autonomy in their role.

Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement and ideally would have been a Senior Buyer, Buyer, Junior Buyer, Material Planner or Inventory Controller or someone who has worked in a supply chain environment previously.

Role responsibilities of the Buyer include:

• Responsible for purchasing all consumables and production materials
• Arranging Imports/Exports and shipments around the UK
• Identifying, and bringing on new suppliers
• Customer and Supplier Negotiations
• Being the point of contact for customer and supplier engagement
• Managing supplier quality
• Quotations to customers
• Managing Tenders

Person Specification of the Buyer:

• Previous experience in purchasing or procurement
• IT literate
• MRP System knowledge
• Work within strict deadlines to complete allocated tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to work under pressure
• Negotiation experience
• Experience in stock or material management

Salary

£28,000 - £30,000

(Dependent on experience)
