£30000 - £35000 per annum
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a leading manufacturing organisation as an Indirect Buyer on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract basis.
Key Responsibilities of the Indirect Buyer;
Establish and maintain a supplier development programme for key suppliers.
Ensure optimal supplier performance.
Maintain accurate information on suppliers regarding continuous improvement.
Ensure that relevant Purchasing KPI's & metrics are produced, reviewed and maintained to drive improvement activities.
Lead and support on sourcing and tendering activities for both Project and Category related activities.
Developing strategic relationship with key suppliers.
Drive the rationalisation of suppliers in order to streamline the supply chain.
Ensure Sourcing reviews are established before changes in supply are made.
Personal Specification of the Indirect Buyer;
Proven Procurement / Purchasing experience is essential.
Degree and / or Professional Qualifications would be preferred.
Indirect Procurement experience is required.
Supervisory experience would be an advantage.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to effectively prioritise workload.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Flexibility to travel to meet suppliers as required.
