IT Procurement Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for two IT Procurement Managers to join this public sector organisation based near Oxford. They are looking for successful candidates to take full responsibility for all aspects of the IT category spend. Also, to maintain an up to date market in order to work and support stakeholders with the specific category achieving the best value for money whilst mitigating any risk.

Main responsibilities of the IT Procurement Manager

  • Act as a primary category lead reporting to IT Business Partner
  • Provide best practice procurement advice and end to end sourcing to stakeholders
  • Understand key commercial drivers
  • Undertake and deliver a savings programme
  • Manage and coordinate project teams to deliver procurement whilst providing a strategic sourcing advice and support to stakeholders
  • Support the positive relationships with all stakeholders

Skills & Experience required of the Procurement Officer

  • CIPS Qualification or actively working towards
  • Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Demonstrate experience at delivering savings to an organisation through effective category management
  • Must have in depth OJEU legislation expertise
  • Experience leading the full cradle to grave procurement process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Experience within public sector is essential
  • Experience in IT Category management

Salary up to £41,000
