An excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics and Transport professional to join a busy organisation as a Logistics Manager, to be responsible for the Inbound & Outbound Supply Chain, maximising stock availability for customers.
Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Manager;
Full responsibility for the day to day stock movements for the business.
Ensuring that the right product gets to the right destination at the right time.
Provide issue resolution when things go wrong.
Supervise the performance of team through setting clear targets, effective line management and Development Plans.
Improve the service offered to both internal and external customers.
Drive efficiency improvements in all elements of the supply chain.
Reduce cost base to ensure stock is moved in the most cost-efficient manner at all times.
Set clear KPIs that are relevant for all individuals within the supply chain team.
Establish processes to ensure KPIs are monitored and met.
Agree SLAs with the wider business to ensure the needs of internal customers are met.
Work closely with the Technology team to develop systems and take advantage of best in class technology.
Develop strong working relationships with 3PL partners and hold them to account if service levels are not met.
Ensure the business is compliant with all relevant legislation across its supply chain.
Create a culture of continuous improvement.
Personal Specification of the Logistics Manager;
Degree qualified or equivalent.
Inbound & Outbound Logistics experience is essential.
Fleet Management & Bonded Warehouse experience.
FMCG or Retail experience would be an advantage.
Strong Leadership skills.
Ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively.
