Procurement & Inventory Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a Distribution Company in Bristol who are looking for someone to manage the Inventory and Direct procurement function. This role will be responsible for a small team, working closely with the rest of the business to make sure there is a smooth supply of products to be distributed, and obsolescence and inventory are effectively managed.

This role would suit an Inventory Manager, Demand Planning Manager, Demand and Forecasting Manager, Purchasing Team Leader, Senior Buyer, Category Manager, Category Buyer or Supply Chain and Inventory team leader.

Key Responsibilities of the Procurement & Inventory Manager

  • Management and mentorship and development of the team.
  • Main point of contact for all Procurement and Inventory management activities.
  • Managing the purchase-to-pay process.
  • Day to day supplier management on main suppliers, creating cost saving opportunities and managing terms effectively.
  • Demand planning and availability forecasting ensuring smooth supply, clear availability and management of all obsolescence.

Personal Specification of the Procurement & Inventory Manager

  • Experience with over 4,000 SKU's.
  • Inventory management and experience in purchase-to-pay.
  • FMCG, Retail or Distribution Industry experience.
  • Experienced in Inventory demand planning and forecasting.

Salary:

Circa £45,000
