Procurement Manager Vacancy

Butler Ross have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to come and join a busy manufacturing company based in Oxford. The company themselves are an innovative company are produce unique and specialist products for their customers worldwide.

This role will be well suited to a purchasing manager, procurement manager, senior buyer, lead buyer, category manager, commodity manager, sourcing manager or category specialist.

Duties of the Procurement Manager

  • This role is an standalone Procurement role meaning you will be solely responsible for the whole function in the UK.
  • Negotiate and develop suppliers to be able to build effective relationships.
  • Source and select new suppliers with the support of other internal teams.
  • Purchase order processing including contracts and confirmations.
  • Keeping track of market changes and building effective plans to be able to over come any issues.
  • Contract management.
  • Undertake supplier enquiries and price comparisons (RFI, RFQ)

Experience and Skills Required for the Procurement Manager

  • A background of procurement in fast paced manufacturing or engineering.
  • Contract savvy and the ability to negotiate and following though with contracts confidently.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with teams not only in the UK but across the global.
  • Willingness to develop and improve within the company.
  • Detail orientated and able to produce excellent reports to share with stakeholders.

Salary:

£50,000 to £55,000.
