A fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a leading science and technology company who specialise in food testing, based in Chipping Campden with a salary up to £60,000 per annum. The Procurement Manager will be joining the procurement team to support the procurement of high value consumables as well as identifying opportunities to reduce operational expenditure across the business. Candidates will have previous procurement experience as a Procurement Manger, Category Manager or Senior Buyer and be eager to develop themselves within their career.

Role Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager:

  • Negotiate with existing suppliers to identify operational cost savings opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with Operational Units to understand requirements and business needs
  • Line Management of 2 Direct reports
  • Support team members to ensure effective management suppliers and freight forwarding
  • Own and collate procurement data and provide interpretative management reports via internal and external audit/inspection programmes
  • Review and negotiate terms on all existing contracts

Experience required of the Procurement Manager:

  • 3 years Senior Procurement experience
  • Industry experience within laboratories, life sciences, research, food and drink or agriculture
  • Strong communication and ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills

Salary:

Up to £60,000.
