A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Procurement professional to join a leading organisation as a Procurement Manager. This position will be responsible for establishing complex, high value contracts with key suppliers, ensuring delivery performance is achieved and working closely with the senior leadership team to support transformation activity.
Specific Job Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager;
Establish framework agreements with selected suppliers
Measuring and driving supply base performance.
Develop strategic supplier relationships that drive contract performance and support business growth aspirations.
Leading Procurement & Supply Chain activity on all asset replacement activity.
Minimising working capital material requirements through effective contracting and controls of inventory.
Providing input to monthly program management reports.
Engaging proactively with contract to understand requirements and offer solutions to problems.
Achieve agreed savings target.
Providing internal expertise for assigned bids.
Ensure adherence to compliant procurement process.
Building strong operational relationships between procurement and wider business.
Personal Specification of the Procurement Manager;
Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
Professional Qualifications would be an advantage.
Significant Procurement & Supply Chain Management experience.
Sourcing and Contracting experience.
Experience within a matrix organisation.
Experience within Automotive / Aerospace / Defence industries.
Strong Leadership & Change Management skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent IT skills including MS Office.
Self-Motivated and Enthusiastic.
This role would suit an individual with previous experience in the following roles; Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Director, Head of Supply Chain, Head of Procurement, Operations Manager.
