PROCUREMENT ANALYST VACANCY

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Analyst to join a reputable company within the FMCG sector. Located in Milton Keynes in a purchasing environment with a salary up to £42,000. This position will be at the heart of the purchasing team, reporting into the Procurement Manager with a competitive benefits package attached to the role.

The Procurement Analyst should be confident in their ability to analyse data, present and compile reports and have the tenacity to progress and develop in a very reputable company. It is desirable that the successful candidate have experience within procurement and supply chain functions with excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, presentation and strong business acumen.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROCUREMENT ANALYST WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide analysis on price change justification and validation prior to cost approvals
  • Review capabilities of potential new sources of supply in partnership with the Procurement Manager
  • Check documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to departmental SOPs and Policy and Procedures
  • Provide analysis on price change justification and validation prior to cost approvals
  • Assist team in detailed financial analysis of supplier quotations and financial reports
  • Actively participates in negotiations by presenting data to suppliers that will ensure fair and reasonable pricing
  • Independently research key categories & commodities for relevant and up to date market intelligence and trends
  • Be willing to travel around the UK and Europe to meet and negotiate with suppliers
  • Act in the best interest of the company by applying stated corporate values and priorities to all communications, decisions and actions

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Be able to use Microsoft Excel and other packages to an advanced level
  • The ability to present and communicate at a senior level
  • University/College degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience within an FMCG environment
