Production Planner

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Planner to join a manufacturing organisation locally to Havant. This Production Planning position will be responsible for the coordinating, analysing and managing the assembly schedules to meet capacity requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Planner

Support the Production Planning Manager across all planning functions

Manage the work flows to ensure that assembly lines are at optimum capacity levels

Use manufacturing processes to manage inventory levels available and continuous flow into production

Use Microsoft dynamics to efficiently update and review plans taking into account fluctuations in demand and potential risks

Monitor and review both short-term and long-term forecasts against current performance and sales to maintain accurate planning capabilities

Be responsible for stock adjustments including manging level of scrap

Communicate with the manager and the supply chain team regarding any potential shortages

Key competencies of the Production Planner

Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment

Proven experience planning production or assembly

Strong MRP experience - preferably Microsoft Dynamics

Intermediate Excel skills

Analytically minded with strong attention to detail

Highly competent and able to support senior management

Organised with a sense of urgency

This role would be suitable for someone with experience as a Production Planner, Production Coordinator, Senior Production Controller, Assembly Planner, Capacity Planner, and Manufacturing.
