A great opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised Stores and Logistics Assistant to join the logistics and stock management team within a global, cutting-edge manufacturing company with a focus on utilising science in practical applications to develop new products. This role is based in Royston and is available as a result of business growth.

The successful candidate will have experience within logistics or stock/materials control, ideally within a manufacturing or life sciences environment, however this is not essential.

Role responsibilities of the Stores and Logistics Assistant:

  • Arranging and managing all inbound and outbound shipments
  • Taking receipt of all incoming deliveries
  • Raising purchase orders when necessary
  • Conducting periodic stocktakes
  • Coordinating internal movement of stock throughout the business

Personal specification of the Stores and Logistics Assistant:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and strong organisation
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Works with a customer-focused mindset
  • Is dynamic and adaptable to manage in an ever-changing environment

This position will be suited to you if you have held a role as a: Stock Controller, Materials Controller, Logistics Coordinator or similar.
