Butler Ross have an excellent opportunity for a Trade Compliance Specialist to come and join a fast paced manufacturing company based in Stafford, this role also offers hybrid working (2/3 day split at home/in the office) and an excellent team to work alongside. This role will fundamentally be concerned with ensuring that all shipments move in and out promptly and will minimise risks of border-crossing disruption.

Duties of the Trade Compliance Specialist

  • Management of customs operations, custom service providers, custom systems and customs data.
  • Ensuring all documentation is with the correct parties upon shipment according to the relevant legislation.
  • Using SAP to realise sales orders and general monitoring.
  • Monitor performance of customs brokers and promote an continuous improvement culture.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, freight forwarders, customer brokers, internal departments and external parties.
  • Creating customs reports and implement standard customers procedure.

Experience of the Trade Compliance Specialist

  • Experience within customs and trade compliance.
  • A thorough understanding of UK and EU customs regulations and procedures.
  • A natural problem solver with an critical thinking mindset who is confident with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ideally experience with SAP or any other ERP or MRP system.

Salary:

This role will have a salary of between £30,000 and £32,000.

This role will be well suited to a customs compliance specialist, trade compliance analyst, customs analyst, shipping analyst, import/export specialist.
