Butler Ross are currently recruiting a permanent Contract Manager role on behalf of a fantastic organisation based in Central Birmingham (although working from home currently due to Covid-19). Responsibilities include the contract management of Professional Services based contracts, full lifecycle contract management from mobilisation and delivery through to exit, managing checks on contract compliance and monitoring supplier performance. Demonstrable contract management experience within a public sector and/or regulated environment (e.g. utilities) is essential. Experience of managing NEC3 forms of contract is preferable but not essential. Prior experience of using CEMAR would also be desirable but is not essential. Strong Excel skills are required in all of the available roles. This Contracts Manager role represents an excellent opportunity to be involved in the management of a portfolio of high value, high profile contracts.
Commercial Contracts Officer
£30000 - £35000 per annum
A fantastic opportunity for a Commercial professional to join a leading organisation as a Commercial Contracts Officer, to be responsible for providing commercial support to ensure the business interests of the Company are optimised. Job Responsibilities of the Commercial Contracts Officer; Assist the Legal team with the development of a contract framework. Monitor ongoing compliance with the framework. Review supply arrangements, with a view to maximising financial and operational performance and minimising risk, where possible. Assist central functions in the review and negotiation of draft contracts. Provide guidance to central functions on the preparation of tenders, requests for information, proposals and quotations and support through the selection processes in the evaluation of bids. Assist in negotiating and agreeing contracts and working with central functions to monitor their progress. Support in the negotiation and agreement of terms in relation to significant contracts in conjunction with central functions. Issue tenders, evaluate bids, negotiate with potential suppliers and make recommendations based on technical and commercial factors. Maintain and update a business wide contracts register within a contract management system - work closely with central functions to ensure that updates are timely and accurate. Keep up to date with market trends and industry best practice relating to procurement and contract management. Person Specification of the Commercial Contracts Officer; Degree qualified or equivalent in Law or Business. Professional Qualifications would be an advantage. Proven Procurement and Contracts experience. Experience of Drafting Contract Terms & Conditions. Understanding of Contract Law and Risk Management. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the business. This role would suit an individual with previous experience in the following roles; Commercial Officer, Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Administrator, Assistant Commercial Manager, Contracts Officer and Commercial Manager.
