Butler Ross are pleased to be recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) on behalf of our client operating in the marine sector. This is an exciting opportunity, suitable for someone new to the field or a an individual with previous quality inspection, or quality engineer experience. In this position you will be ensuring that all materials and components supplied to manufacturing facilities meet the organisations quality standards, and supporting these suppliers, helping them to develop and improve their quality systems and ensuring compliance to requirements. This opportunity is offering a salary of £30-35,000, and operates on a hybrid-working basis (2 days a week from home) with the remainder spent either in their office in Poole, or their facilities and suppliers internationally (20-30% of the time estimated)- making it a great opportunity for those who want to enjoy some time outside of the UK whilst they work. You will be joining a pre-existing team of 2, a Quality Manager and another Quality Engineer, who split the travel requirements as required. Desired Experience Attitude - Having a desire and determination and an interest in problem-solving is crucial; skills and knowledge can be taught! Some prior experience/background in quality, manufacturing or engineering Any familiarity with any quality systems, methodologies, controls, or processes - for example: PPAP, APQP, 5Y, 8S, 8D, ISO's etc. would be advantageous Key Responsibilities: Supplier Management & Development - Build strong supplier relationships with new and existing suppliers, conducting regular audits, assessments and performance reviews. Quality Assurance & Compliance - Ensure supplier compliance with company standards and regulations, reviewing control plans and quality documentation. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement - Monitoring supplier quality metrics and solving supplier quality and non-conformance issues Cross-Functional Collaboration - Working with engineering, purchasing, production, and logistics teams.
