Role responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist: Notifies the Business Unit via the Logistics Manager of any logistical, processing and quality/compliance issues that he/she cannot resolve without adversely affecting planned timelines. Ensures that all personal actions are carried out to appropriate regulatory standards as described by cGMP, FDA, MCA, EMEA, HSE and EA. Operates according to the Basic Operating Procedures related to departmental operational practices. Suggests potential process improvements both operational and capital. Assists in the development of tools and reports to support Materials Management department. Takes part in business initiatives such a Class A or Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives. Review's future order despatch due dates as part of the outbound shipment planning process. Plans work schedules (warehousing & shipping). Liaises with suppliers and customers. Ensures compliance to HM Customs & Excise requirements. Ensures compliance with Hazardous Cargo requirements. Ensures the relevant shipping paperwork is in place, (invoices, R invoice, packing list, shipping notes, dangerous goods notes, instruction sheet, shipping advice notes etc). Is able to pick/release allocations, and allocate products. Is able to maintain throughput, invoice and credit statistics. Maintains Key Performance Indicator (KPI) statistics where required Ensures Aesica Queenborough comply with Civil Aviation Authority requirements to remain a "Known Shipper". Assists with price updates and customer contracts. Develops action plans to resolve all outstanding issues within area of own responsibility. Provides shipping information to the relevant departments on site Communicates ADR / SCR issues to customers. Person Specification of the Logistics Specialist: Have knowledge of Class A and GMP methodology. Be computer literate - Microsoft Office applications. Have good written and verbal communication skills. Have operational knowledge of SAP Knowledge of transport of dangerous goods regulations. Mandatory IATA qualification, ADR/IMDG/DGSA qualifications an advantage. Able to perform under pressure in a busy office environment. Freight & Customs Analyst

A fantastic opportunity for a Freight and Customs Analyst to join a leading Manufacturing company based in Uckfield with a salary up to £35k. This role will report into the UK Logistics Manager. Candidates must have 1-2 years' experience in an Import/ Export role and experience with Incoterms. Role responsibilities of the Freight and Customs Analyst Include: Supporting the supply and logistics team in re organising the inbound and outbound supply post Brexit Ensuring TR's stock movements are wholly compliant for all product movements post Brexit Implementation of freight projects delivering continuous improvement and compliance initiatives Delivering and deploying the freight and logistics strategy Understanding and keeping up to date HMRC changes and understanding the application in the business engaging with the key stakeholders as the changes discussed and rolled out Ensuring business process documentation and training materials are kept up to date in line with any changes made for audit purposes Implementing and driving freight AVL's Approval and analysis of expenditure for TR UK Freight movement Analysing our trade routes to propose improvements to reduce the total cost of acquisition Ensuring the knowledge of the operations teams is maintained at all times around import/export Person Specification of the Freight and Customs Analyst Include: Customs knowledge including export/import Experience in customs entries and Incoterms Experience in documentation in order to ensure goods are shipping in accordance with the regulations of the destination/origin An aptitude to challenge to ensure compliance is maintained Ability to analyse and present information in order to make informed decisions Team player but also able to work alone and on your own initiative General knowledge of freight and logistics is an advantage Salary Up to £35k This role will be well suited to you if you have held an Import/ Export role for 1-2 years. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain professional to join a growing organisation as a Logistics Coordinator. The role will be responsible for supporting the import and export of goods. Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator; Prepare shipments for export in line with regulatory requirements. Generate compliance paperwork for all export shipments. Coordination of imported products, via freight forwarders and couriers. Obtain quotations from freight providers. Keep customers and suppliers informed on the progress of shipments. Update shipment schedules. Improve process efficiencies. Maintain accurate stock levels and complete audits as necessary. Maintain data integrity within the ERP system. Setup of products and Bill of Materials. Compilation of reports as required. Personal Specification of the Logistics Coordinator; Logistics & Shipping experience. Good working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills. Strong communication skills.
