Buyer

An amazing opportunity exists for a Buyer to join an international manufacturing business based in Fareham with a salary up to £35,000. This purchasing position has been created due to continued company growth. The buyer will sit within the purchasing department and reports into the Supply Chain Manager.

Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement specifically within a manufacturing environment, at buyer or senior buyer level and must be keen to progress in their career.

Roles responsibilities of the Buyer include:

To ensure the MRP system is up to date always

Work with Engineering, Projects and Purchasing teams to source and enhance new products

To maintain a professional and supportive relationships with suppliers and internal department to deliver business objectives or deadlines

Responsible for sourcing from design to delivery

Good time management to minimise any wasted time and maximise productivity and effectiveness

Person Specification of the Buyer:

Previous experience as a buyer/senior buyer within a manufacturing industry

Knowledge of "Material Requirement Planning" (MRP Systems)

Confident when using Excel (Intermediate level and above)

Driven and motivated individual with a passion to progress

Up to £35,000
