An excellent opportunity for a Purchasing professional to join a busy manufacturing organisation as a Buyer.
Key Responsibilities of the Buyer;
Generate purchase orders in line with company MRP system.
Issue purchase orders.
Ensure acknowledgements are correct and date of delivery are in line with on-time delivery targets.
Expedite and move out items in line with requirements to optimise stock.
Maintain accurate records of purchases made.
Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the items purchased are in line with the needs of the company.
Create items on system in line with new items requirements as specified by relevant stakeholders.
Maintenance of items in regarding optimising stock holding and re-order levels in line with usages and future requirements.
Vendor maintenance and Vendor performance metric reports.
Manage item rejects and returns process to suppliers.
Bill of material review and maintenance processes.
Personal Specification of the Buyer;
CIPS qualified or equivalent.
Purchasing experience is essential.
Must have worked within the manufacturing industry.
Good working knowledge of MRP systems.
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
Ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
