A great opportunity for a dynamic procurement professional to join a busy organisation as a Buyer, to be responsible for purchasing across multiple projects, working closely with the engineering teams to ensure the projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Key Responsibilities of the Buyer;
Management of BOM Updates and Engineering Change Requests to ensure that purchasing is in-line with latest project revisions.
Identification and reconciliation of procurement requirements for projects from BOMs.
Preparation of requests for quotation (RFQs).
Review of quotations and issue of purchase orders along with engineering drawings and product specifications.
Purchasing of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components.
Progressing of purchase orders to ensure purchasing schedules meet project requirements.
Responsibility for goods-in, product returns, quality issues and stock control.
Personal Specification of the Buyer;
Proven Purchasing experience.
Experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering environment.
Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
Excellent IT skills including MS Office.
Good working knowledge of ERP / MRP.
Driven and flexible attitude.
Enthusiastic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
This role would also suit you if you have held a role as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Purchasing Controller, Purchasing Administrator, Junior Buyer, Procurement Assistant or Commercial Coordinator.
