Butler Ross are currently supporting a public-sector organisation based in Essex to recruit a Category Manager. This role is going to be specific to Estates and Facilities so it is essential that you have previously managed this category. This role reports into the Head of Procurement and has scope to recruit a Buyer/Analyst to report into it over the next six months. Although most of this job will be focusing on Estates and Facilities, it is also desirable if you have experience in other indirect categories including IT, HR, Print, Utilities and other minor works.

You will be responsible for creating category strategies to support the organisations, and you will need to ensure that compliance, governance and processes are met. You will have to contribute to other category plans as well and build relationships both internal and external relationships. You will be responsible for your own reporting and exceed year on year savings targets.
