The Export Shipping Administrator will be responsible for managing orders including applying for Export licences, organising shipments, and agreeing delivery dates.
Key Responsibilities of the Export Shipping Administrator;
Process purchase orders from customers, matching to any existing quotes.
Apply for export licences for both Dual Use and Military Goods.
Apply for re-export licence applications from the US Department of Commerce.
Coordinate despatch dates with the Production Planning team.
Monitor delivery schedules and ensure the Production plans will achieve scheduled dates.
Accurately maintain the database of products, showing which products require an export licence and the correct Control List Classification.
Manage the shipment of equipment to customers across the world, establishing priorities with the internal packing team and liaising with freight forwarders.
Produce accurate and timely invoices to customers for all equipment orders.
Personal Specification of the Export Shipping Administrator;
Export experience is essential (experience of applying for Export Licences / knowledge of Export Documentation)
Order Processing experience.
Experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment.
Good General Level of Education.
Excellent IT skills including MS Office.
Good working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems.
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Self-motivated and able to work independently
This role would be suitable for individuals with experience in Shipping, Export, Logistics, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales or Purchasing.
