A fantastic opportunity for a Freight and Customs Analyst to join a leading Manufacturing company based in Uckfield with a salary up to £35k. This role will report into the UK Logistics Manager.

Candidates must have 1-2 years' experience in an Import/ Export role and experience with Incoterms.

Role responsibilities of the Freight and Customs Analyst Include:

  • Supporting the supply and logistics team in re organising the inbound and outbound supply post Brexit
  • Ensuring TR's stock movements are wholly compliant for all product movements post Brexit
  • Implementation of freight projects delivering continuous improvement and compliance initiatives
  • Delivering and deploying the freight and logistics strategy
  • Understanding and keeping up to date HMRC changes and understanding the application in the business engaging with the key stakeholders as the changes discussed and rolled out
  • Ensuring business process documentation and training materials are kept up to date in line with any changes made for audit purposes
  • Implementing and driving freight AVL's
  • Approval and analysis of expenditure for TR UK Freight movement
  • Analysing our trade routes to propose improvements to reduce the total cost of acquisition
  • Ensuring the knowledge of the operations teams is maintained at all times around import/export

Person Specification of the Freight and Customs Analyst Include:

  • Customs knowledge including export/import
  • Experience in customs entries and Incoterms
  • Experience in documentation in order to ensure goods are shipping in accordance with the regulations of the destination/origin
  • An aptitude to challenge to ensure compliance is maintained
  • Ability to analyse and present information in order to make informed decisions
  • Team player but also able to work alone and on your own initiative
  • General knowledge of freight and logistics is an advantage

Salary Up to £35k


This role will be well suited to you if you have held an Import/ Export role for 1-2 years. Have experience with Incoterms, and excellent Excel skills.
