Head of Procurement

Butler Ross are recruiting for an interim Head of Procurement on behalf of a client in the telecoms sector. This is a high impact programme that is anticipated to run for at least 6 months with the objective being to change how they contract with suppliers.

The interim resource will lead on the development of a new procurement strategy and creating and running the subsequent RFP through to contract award and mobilisation. This programme will apply to both new and existing suppliers, with strong negotiation, stakeholder and influencing skills being essential in order to ensure success in transitioning existing suppliers over to the new contracting model.

The procurement undertaken is for the construction of telecoms related infrastructure e.g. masts, towers, small works etc. Prior experience in civils, construction, infrastructure procurement is essential as is demonstrable experience with NEC forms of contract (NEC3 or NEC4).

Suitable job titles for consideration include Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Commercial Manager, Head of Purchasing etc.
