IT Category Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Procurement Business Partner to join this public sector organisation-based North of Oxford. The successful candidate will ensure cross functional category strategies are developed in line with the business and to deliver value for the money to achieve all targets across the business.

Main responsibilities of the IT Category Manager

  • Lead and manage the IT category across the organisation
  • Contribute to and deliver the strategic direction with senior managers in relevant areas across the business
  • Lead and project manage a range of sourcing activities in support of the category plans
  • Lead and develop a positive relationship with senior stakeholders
  • Responsible for leading a successful team within the IT category

Skills & Experience required of the IT Category Manager

  • Degree or equivalent CIPS qualification
  • Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Demonstrate experience at delivering savings to an organisation through effective category management
  • IT Category experience
  • Must have in depth OJEU legislation expertise
  • Experience leading the full cradle to grave procurement process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously;
  • Ability to analyse contracts and manage contracts at all levels

Salary up to £59,000
