Import/Export Manager - Telford

Butler Ross have an outstanding opportunity in a global manufacturing company, for someone to manage their Export team. We are looking for someone who is an Expert on Import and Export legislation and documentation, who has experience in a distribution environment. This is a great opportunity to work with a leading Manufacturing company, in a senior role.

This role would suit someone who has experience working in Supply Chain, and Technical Manufacturing and Logistics and Distribution as a Transport Planner, Transport Manager, Shipping Manager, Shipping Controller, Supply Chain Customers Service, Logistics Planner and Logistics Manager and Import/Export Manager or Import/Export Planner.

Key Responsibilities of the Import/Export Manager:

• Managing a team of 4 to 5 people
• Overseeing the planning and booking of transport, lorry, ship or air freight globally
• Keeping customers updated and informed on orders.
• Evaluate, analyse and create reports for Sales meetings on stock, prices, delayed deliveries, and countermeasures and resolutions.
• Creating business plans and working to reduce transport costs.
• Planning up to 1 to 15 shipments a day, and ensuring shipments coincide with despatch

Personal Specification of the Import/Export Manager:

• Import/Export experience
• Team leader and Managerial experience
• Experience with Transport, Shipping and Logistics in a fast-paced environment
• Strong MRP and IT skills

Salary

Up to £30,000

Working Hours & Benefits:

• Monday to Thursday - 8.00 am to 17.15 pm
• Friday - 8.00 am to 11.50 am
