A fantastic opportunity has arrissen to join a global business supporting innovation as a Marketing Procurement Specialist. You will be the key contact for marketing procurement in relation to both Above the Line (ATL) and Below the Line (BTL) category areas covering the full spectrum of marketing.

As a Category Manager you are responsible for:

Managing the Marketing Procurement spend across the category, including media, event, PR & creative agencies, looking at driving added value into the local supply base through strategic global contracts. As an integrated business partner, working with senior stakeholders up to C-level, you will drive strategic sourcing initiatives into the marketing category across both our Personal Health and Health Systems business areas, looking the bid process for local markets, enabling contract flowdowns and taking the lead with ongoing SRM agreements with our supply base.



To succeed in this role of Category Manager, you should have the following skills and experience;

  • Previous experience in a marketing procurement role/category manager covering either ATL, BTL or both, or a General Indirects background that has covered marketing procurement

  • Proven sourcing skillset with tangible evidence of clear saving delivery

  • Evidence of leading tender processes in the marketing space and influencing budget holders on projects

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence at all levels & resilience to deliver in a pressured environment

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels, both internally and within the supply base

  • Ability to undertake whole life cost/ total cost of ownership analysis, summarise results and make recommendations based on results

  • Good working knowledge of MS office

  • CIPS qualification is preferable
