Material Controller - Northampton - £30,000

Butler Ross have an exciting 'hands on' opportunity to work in a fast-paced Manufacturing company as a Material Controller. This crucial role will be paramount in making sure that parts arrive in time for Production and delivery!

This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within Material Planning, Material Control, Inventory Control, Inventory Management, Stock Control, Stock Management, Production Control, Production Planning or Expediting.

Role responsibilities of the Material Controller include:

• Ensure prompt and accurate deliveries from suppliers and chasing when required
• Manage and maintain the MRP system with accurate part details
• Continuous improvement and vendor relationship management/development
• Plan short solutions to component availability issues
• Maintain adequate parts coverage, whilst minimizing stock
• To manage both MRP and JIT generated orders
• Ensure component availability to the production plan

Person Specification of the Material Controller include:

• Experience with MRP Systems
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience in Expediting, Material Control or production Planning would be essential
• Experience in a JIT manufacturing environment

Salary

Circa £30,000
