Materials Planning and Logistics Manager - Oxfordshire

Butler Ross have a fantastic opportunity with an Automotive Manufacturing company based in Oxford, who are looking for someone to lead a team managing the overall control of materials and warehouse functions for the site. This will be a busy role in a fast-paced environment and will need someone who is used to managing multiple processes at once, as well as man management.

They need someone who has experience as a Materials Manager, Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Manager or Planning Manager from an Automotive background.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager:

  • Oversee the design, control and ordering of packaging and containers
  • Improving raw material and finished item stock levels
  • Woking with new product developments, and helping expand the product portfolio
  • To provide support and advice on cost estimates
  • Work with the team to achieve an effective and efficient production plan
  • Creating material procurement plans
  • Ensuring Customer teams input orders and schedules as applicable
  • Getting involved with the customer when there are shortages or delivery issues
  • Ensuring items received are processed, stored and issued correctly and overseeing the team ensuring goods are packaged in the correct containers
  • To ensure transport, collections and deliveries are achieved
  • To convene, run and / or attend meetings and issue reports as and when required

Personal Specification of the Senior Buyer/Purchasing Manager:

  • Strong MRP and systems experience
  • Experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment
  • Material planning, Logistics experience
  • Versatile and able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Strong team player

Salary

Up to £55,000

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • 8:00 - 5:00 Monday to Thursday
  • 8:00 - 1:00 Friday
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Pension

This role would suit a Materials Manager, Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Material Planning and logistics Manager, MP+L Manager
