Materials Controller

An opportunity for a Materials Controller to join an exciting Engineering company based in Hampshire with a salary of up to £25,000. This position will be assisting with the location of stock and inventory in worldwide locations.

Candidates will be required to have previous experience in a busy fast paced Engineering company.

Role Responsibilities of the Materials Controller include;

• Managing incoming stock
• Performing regular stock reviews, cycle counts and checks
• Monitoring slow moving/expired stock
• Supplier forecasts
• Liaising with suppliers for on time delivery
• Placing orders for stock and back to back orders
• Monitoring Purchase Orders/liaising with Sales order processors for on time delivery feedback
• Monthly stock reconciliation with external warehouses
• Assisting with the location of stock into locations accurately
• Liaising with Workshop for repair work/work orders
• Recording monthly scrap
• Re-packaging stock as required maintaining a high standard
• Working to the requirements of ISO9001-2015

Person Specification Materials Controller include;

• Excellent knowledge of warehouse disciplines and housekeeping
• Problem solving ability, including use of own initiative and common sense
• Ability to multi-task and achieve tight deadlines ensuring adherence to export control regulations where relevant
• Proficient in the use of Office
• A counter balance / reach forklift License would be required
