Mechanical Senior Buyer

Butler Ross are currently recruiting on behalf of global defence client for a Mechanical Senior Buyer to join them on a 6-month contract. This role sits within a large procurement team and responsibilities will include managing the full end to end procurement process including ITTs, negotiating T&Cs, evaluating responses and awarding the contract.

Due to the nature of the role specific experience of mechanical procurement e.g. welded fabrications, castings, machined components etc. and a general understanding of engineering drawings.

This role would suit a buyer, commodity specialist, commodity manager, purchasing specialist, procurement specialist or similar with a background in the defence, aerospace, automotive or other regulated mechanical industry.
