Procurement Contracts Officer - London EC1
Butler Ross are currently working with a leading Charity, who are offering a rewarding opportunity in Central London. The role will be monitoring contracts for the supply of goods and services, ensuring timing and integrity is maintained at a high standard. The role would be perfect for someone who is currently a Junior Buyer, Purchasing Administrator, Purchasing Assistant Procurement Administrator, Trainee Buyer, Contracts Officer, Graduate Contracts Officer or a Procurement and Supply Chain Graduate
Responsibilities of the Procurement Contracts Officer:

Support the implementation of contracting procedures

Liaise with purchasing to ensure that the views of the Legal, Finance and IT departments are documented/recorded where necessary in relation to the category risk and supplier risk

Monitor and report regularly on the effectiveness of contracts

Responsible for communicating any new contracts or contractual changes with relevant staff and the team

Conduct regular contract service reviews with suppliers
-
Involve and engage team members in change processes and to ensure improvements to non-compliance and increase efficiency

Contribute to the service/project development as required, including supporting the contribution of the team

Monitor and update impact of changes in deadlines or project timelines and resulting KPIs, for agreed project deliverables to meet the dates agreed by the Assistant Procurement Manager/Procurement Manager in the project plan

Resolve stakeholder/customer issues at the appropriate level

Provide support to the Senior Buyers/Buyers in the scheduling of tender process
-
Analyse data received from suppliers with the Senior Buyers/Buyers
-
Identify non-compliance within business units
-
Highlight any quality issues, when necessary, to relevant Senior Buyer/Buyer or Manager
-
Resolve complaints, concerns and issues promptly and effectively keeping relevant stakeholders informed
Person specification of Procurement Contracts Officer:

Excellent written and verbal communication

Contract/SLA management skills

Analysis and management of complex data

Confident in the use of IT applications

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Experience of contract, supply chain and supplier management

Experience of contract terms and challenging/amending

Experience of the buying process including tendering

Understanding of relevant legislation relating to procurement

Understanding of subcontracting
-
Understanding of tendering and letting of contracts

Understanding of procurement and associated financial processes

Experience of risk management
