A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Procurement professional to join a leading Manufacturing organisation as a Procurement Engineer.



Specific Job Responsibilities of the Procurement Engineer;

Work with NPI teams providing knowledge of suppliers, material estimates and costs throughout the NPI process up to Production release.

Champion the use of Design-to-Cost methodology and the input of Suppliers and specialists as appropriate in the NPI process.

Purchasing of parts and materials to support project timescales.

Work with NPI teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawings and specifications.

Involvement in the supplier qualification and selection process in pursuit of competitive advantage in fast turn-around of prototypes, quality, value/cost, and delivery.

Timely and Accurate Project reporting of costs and delivery throughout the NPI process.

Personal Specification of the Procurement Engineer;

Degree qualified or equivalent within an Engineering discipline.

Supplier management and development experience is essential.

Manufacturing industry experience.

Experience of working in an NPI environment.

Ability to work collaboratively and successfully with cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Project Management experience.

Excellent IT skills including MS Office.

This role would suit an individual with previous experience in the following roles; Supplier Quality Engineer, Vendor Manager, Senior Buyer, Purchasing Manager, Procurement Engineer, Supplier Manager, Supplier Development Engineer.
