I am working with a public sector organisation who are looking for a Procurement Manager who is responsible for leading the purchasing team and dealing with contracts across the organisation. The purpose of the Procurement Manager is to deliver value for money through supplier relationship management and ensuring contract spend is within budget across all spend categories.

Main responsibilities of the Procurement Manager

• Responsible for the junior buyers, buyers and senior buyers within the purchasing team
• Manage the implementation and delivery of contracts across the organisation
• Supplier Relationship Management
• Undertake supplier relationship management for contracts through regular reviews and supplier account management
• Develop individual team members in their career
• Contract spend analysis

Skills & Experience required of the Procurement Manager

• Experience within a procurement manager role
• Professional Qualification or studying towards
• Contract Management experience
• Strong Supplier Relationship Management background
• Experience of managing multiple contracts (20-30) with spend to £50 million

Salary up to £37,000

The role would be perfect for someone who is currently a Procurement Manager or Purchasing Manager or Sourcing Manager or Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager or Supplier Relationship Manager.
