Production Planner

A great opportunity for a dynamic supply chain professional to join a growing organisation as a Production Planner.

Responsibilities of the Production Planner;

Produce a production schedule each week over the planning time fence horizon in SAP.

Attend the daily meeting to ensure bulk and packaging requirements are being met and adjust the production schedule in SAP if changes are required.

Identify potential problems that may impact internal or external customers and resolve.

Generate the capacity profiles on a monthly basis and validate these with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure capacity parameters are maintained accurately.

Provide Schedule Adherence and OTIF miss data where appropriate to facilitate the weekly performance review meetings.

Release and prepare the manufacturing and packaging process orders and documentation where appropriate.

Submit BOM change requests as required and where timelines for changes do not support customer requirements resolve directly.

Maintain material master data views in SAP accurately for planning and scheduling.

Update and maintain documented procedures and process maps.

Provide input and support to continuous improvement efforts in production scheduling.

Personal Specification for the Production Planner;

Degree qualified within a relevant discipline.

Production planning experience within a manufacturing environment.

Good working knowledge of SAP.

Excellent IT skills including Intermediate to advanced Excel.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

Ability to work well as part of a team.

Ambitious and Self-Motivated.
