Production Planner

A great opportunity for an experienced Engineering professional to join a leading Manufacturing organisation as a Production Planner.

Responsibilities of the Production Planner;

Create routings based on requirements of material master.

Manage the manufacturing processes for all components requiring operations by sub-contract operations.

Obtain quotations for sub-contract operations on In-house routings.

Planning and control of all 3rd party fabrication.

Daily review of planned orders by release date.

Identify components that require multi-operation routes and components requiring assembly routing.

Monitor status of feeder materials.

Create and release production orders in line with MRP date requirements.

Daily review of Production Orders progress.

Action exception messages and ensure complete confirmations.

Personal Specification for the Production Planner;

Mechanical Engineering Qualifications would be preferred.

Production Planning & Scheduling experience is essential.

Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.

Good working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

Ambitious and Self-Motivated.

This role would be suitable if you have experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Materials Planner, Production Planner, Technical Planner, Factory Planner, Capacity Planner or Master Scheduler.
