Production Planner - Rugby

Butler Ross have an exciting opportunity for a stand-alone Production Planning role, for a successful Manufacturing company based in Rugby.

We are looking for someone who has experience with Production Planning and Scheduling, to manage the end to end Production Plans for the manufacture specialist materials. This is a great opportunity for someone to make this role their own, playing a vital role in the continued growth and success of the company.

This role would suit someone who has experience working in Supply Chain, and Technical Manufacturing as a Supply Chain Planner, Material Controller, Supply Chain Controller, Production Planner, Production Coordinator and Production Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Planner:

  • Develop planning models to assist in the creation of work schedules, maintain the production schedules to match our order book and internal demands.
  • Maximise production schedules to achieve improvements in production efficiency
  • Maintenance of capacity planning tools across site, to reduce manufacturing lead-times and ongoing cost reduction.
  • Work with Value Stream Leaders to ensure compliance and support production schedules.
  • Improve quality of production processes and parts.
  • Expedite production batches / schedules where required to meet customer demands.
  • Provide information to sales function to ensure awareness of any deviation to agreed schedules.
  • To create manufacturing tags and paperwork for all production
  • Monitor bookings daily and report anomalies.
  • Use capacity planning tools to highlight areas of concern in labour and machinery bottlenecks.
  • Improve capacity of planning
  • Work to eliminate and prevent waste at all stages of the production process.
  • Work with Engineering to review routings and improve timings for actuals.
  • Monitor and report on efficiencies in allocated manufacturing areas.
  • Report to the Value Stream Leaders any issues which impact on the ability of manufacturing to achieve the plan.

Personal Specification of the Production Planner:

  • Experience in Planning and Work schedules.
  • IT literate (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience of using ERP/MRP or similar systems.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.

Salary:

Up to £25,000

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday - Thursday 7:30 - 4:00
  • Friday - 7:30 - 12:00
