Production Planner

I am currently working for a global engineering company who are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join their supply chain team in their Coventry site!

They are a fantastic company to work for and offer great benefits with flexible working hours as well as this being a very busy and challenging role! This role would be best suited for someone who has worked as a Production Planner or a Production Scheduler.

Role responsibilities of the Production Planner:

• Review order proposals for Production

• Planning and releasing

• Evaluating order priority

• Evaluating capacity, materials, batch quantity and lead-times

• Review and maintain production work centre schedules

• Ensuring capacity constraints are updated

• Balancing order loading

• Ensure the delivery dates are accurate and regularly reviewed

• Expedite overdue manufacturing orders, articles and materials

• Liaise with customer service and Production to ensure high customer satisfaction.

• Continually review stock levels with regards to safety stock levels,

• Keep up to date with product revision changes and Obsolescence

• Continually update Data onto internal IT system

Personal Specification of the Production Planning

• Production Planning and production Scheduling is essential

• Engineering industry experience or background

• Experience and awareness of the wider Supply Chain

• Excellent IT Skills, specifically Excel

• Experience with MRP and ERP Systems

This role would be best suited to a Production Planner or a Production Scheduler.
