An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buying professional to join a busy organisation as a Purchasing Administrator on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Role Responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator;
Assist in data updates on the system
Responsible for maintaining stock levels and for placing orders for all products
Ensure stock levels are maintained and orders placed for the products required on a daily basis
Work with stock control to investigate stock discrepancies
Monitor outstanding orders and inter-branch transfers and amend where necessary
Double check all core line products as defined to ensure no shortages on these lines.
Communicate any issues that may affect production
Report product shortages to those required on a daily basis and reduce the level of shortages
Ensure waste is kept to the minimum, aiming to reduce at all times
To check and pass all the credit notes received to accounts.
To look after manual purchase order system.
Order and maintain stock levels on PPE
Run weekly and monthly purchasing reports
Consolidation of supplier data prior to meetings for Purchasing Director
Assist on new projects and support as necessary
Maintain records in an organized system for all contracts as required.
Ad hoc tasks and reasonable requests as and when required
Personal Specification of the Purchasing Administrator;
Degree Qualified or equivalent.
Proven Purchasing experience.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent IT skills including Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills.
This role would also suit you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a Buyer, Junior Buyer, Purchasing Controller, Procurement Administrator.
