A prominent supplier of electrical and mechanical workshop equipment in the UK is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Buyer to join their team based in Epping. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £60,000, making this an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals in the field.

As a Senior Buyer, the chosen candidate will play a crucial role in the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that the company receives the best value for their purchases. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong understanding of the electrical and mechanical equipment industry.


Role responsibilities of the Senior Buyer include:

  • Raising all purchase order for all items with the nominated suppliers
  • Oversee the dispatch and shipping process with the supplier and the nominated Freight Agent
  • Forecast future demand, including seasonal products and calculate stock requirements
  • Chase suppliers to ensure timely delivery of all agreed shipments
  • Identify new items for sourcing for the product portfolio
  • Responsible for Continuous Product Improvement across all nominated Suppliers.


Person Specification of the Senior Buyer:

  • Previous experience procuring finished electrical or mechanical goods
  • Previous experience working with international supplies ideally from the Far East
  • High attention to detail and extremely organised
  • Competent at managing supplier relationships and cost negotiation skills
