Senior Buyer

A fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a market leading manufacturing company based in Rocester with a salary up to £55,000. The Senior Buyer will be involved supporting the procurement team with the purchasing of electronics and controls. Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing and procurement, at Senior Buyer or Category Manager level, and be keen to develop themselves in their career.

Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer:

  • Developing & implementing global category strategies to support international manufacturing operations
  • Engaging & negotiating with suppliers globally to optimise value
  • Maximising supplier competitiveness and performance
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to identify, evaluate & adopt new technologies

Person Specification of the Senior Buyer:

  • Demonstrate both interpersonal & analytical skills
  • Ability to negotiate & influence internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Previous exposure within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within maufactuing, FMCG or retail sectors

Salary:

Up to £55,000.

This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within purchasing and procurement as a Senior Buyer, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Procurement Officer, Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager or similar.
