A great opportunity for a Senior Level Procurement professional to join a leading organisation as a Senior Procurement Manager to be responsible for Indirect Categories across the UK and Europe.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Manager;

European leadership of the implementation of all Indirect Categories.

Leading business-wide optimisation of the European Indirect spend

Facilitate the creation and execution of Category strategies.

Implement Group Agreements, for the UK and European facilities.

Lead Strategic Sourcing exercises, contract implementation and Supplier Relationship Management.

Deliver direct benefits to the business through implementation of all Indirect categories agreements.

Adopt a Supplier Development methodology which will focus on delivering improved margins.

Thought leadership on supporting procurement excellence on building procurement best practice.

Develop and support implementation plans to execute Agreements, to deliver measurable benefits.

Support the review of processes and ways of working.

Design and establish a European Indirect Procurement Leadership team.

Lead and develop a new team.

Accountable for the delivery of cost down targets as agreed.

Achievement of other key metrics including, Quality, TCO Delivery, Safety and innovation.

 

Personal Specification of the Senior Procurement Manager;

Degree qualified or equivalent within a relevant discipline.

Professional qualifications e.g. MCIPS.

Proven Strategic Procurement experience.

Knowledge of Procurement Best Practice.

Experience of Procurement Transformation.

Strong experience sourcing and contract management of Indirect categories.

Detailed knowledge of supplier and contract management.

Strong Leadership skills.

Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management skills.

Ability to work using own initiative and to prioritise effectively.

Ambitious and Self-Motivated.

Flexibility to travel in the UK and Internationally as required.

 

This role would suit a candidate with experience in the following positions; Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager, Senior Category Manager, Senior Commodity Manager, Head of Procurement or Procurement Manager.
