An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Purchasing professional to join a growing retail distribution company as a Senior Sourcing Buyer.

Role Responsibilities of the Senior Sourcing Buyer;

Undertake global sourcing programmes.

Assess prospective new suppliers for commercial viability and compliance both from a quality and ethical perspective.

Undertake RFI's and Draft RFQ's.

Support with general supply framework requirements to ensure all quotations offered have the optimum validity.

Prepare costing comparisons and quotations into standard costs.

Undertake benchmarking cost studies.

Manage supplier terms & conditions and supply agreements.

Maintain KPI's relevant to drive critical improvements from the supplier base.

Work with internal colleagues in delivering new products for customer contracts.

Support with business improvement projects.

Personal Specification of the Senior Sourcing Buyer;

Degree Qualified or equivalent.

CIPS would be an advantage.

Proven Purchasing experience within a Retail / FMCG environment.

Experience of Sourcing Global suppliers.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Excellent IT skills including Excel.

Self-Motivated and Driven.

Strong problem-solving skills.

This role would also suit you if you have held a role within purchasing or buying as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Sourcing Specialist, Commodity Manager, Purchasing Controller, Supplier Manager or Category Manager.
