Supplier & Inventory Controller - Oxford - 6 Month FTC

Butler Ross have a fantastic opportunity with a large Logistics Company who are looking for someone to work on a large Automotive account, managing the inventory and material delivery as well as building up strong relationships with the suppliers.

This role is a fixed term contract which could become permanent, as well as having the opportunity to apply for internal vacancies during the contract.

This role would suit someone who has experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution or Manufacturing as a Supply Chain Account Manager, Logistics Account Manager, Material Controller, Inventory/Stock Controller and Supply Chain Controller.

Key Responsibilities of the Supplier and Inventory Controller:

  • To manage a range of suppliers and the product they supply.
  • Manage deliveries against schedule as well as stock-turn, availability, back orders, inventory value and obsolescence.
  • To develop a working relationship with key contacts at suppliers to ensure performance within the Supply Chain.
  • Forecasting of exceptional SKUs in the parts range to ensure smooth accurate schedules and planned receipts.
  • Carry out root cause analysis to understand exceptions and to take appropriate actions.
  • Understand reasons for availability loss, drive improvements to avoid repetition.
  • Hold supplier and client meetings to review performance, putting plans in place to continuously improve their processes.

Personal Specification of the Supplier and Inventory Controller:

  • Experience in Logistics, Inventory or Material Control
  • Experience in an Automotive/Industrial/Retail sector or in Logistics and Distribution
  • Knowledge of forecasting models & replenishment systems.

Salary

Up to £23,500

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • 22 Days (Plus Days Holidays)
