Supplier Manager - Oxford

Butler Ross have a fantastic opportunity with a large Logistics company who are looking for someone to manage the suppliers for one of their biggest clients. The role will be building relationships with the suppliers, and client, making sure the deliveries are on time and customer satisfaction is first class.

This role would suit someone who has experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution or Manufacturing as a Supply Chain Account Manager, Logistics Account Manager, Supplier Relationship Manager, Material Controller, Inventory/Stock Controller and Supply Chain Controller.

Key Responsibilities of the Supplier Manager:

  • To manage the supplier relationships and performance for spares suppliers
  • To be accountable for the inbound supply chain from suppliers, ensuring compliance and order requirements are fulfilled in line with company standards
  • To deliver excellent OTIF performance and compliance, and drive excellent service to support delivering business KPIs
  • Ensure suppliers deliver stocked parts to the agreed lead time
  • To proactively monitor and manage potential problems in the supplier base, resolving and/or escalating upwards before they impact service levels
  • Regularly review the suppliers, ensuring supply chain data is both accurate and optimised to reflect the needs of the business
  • Ensuring all supplier arrears have an up-to-date ETA
  • Availability and loss investigation and managing performance improvement
  • Resolution of items in and delivering feedback to the supplier to prevent recurrence
  • Prompt resolution of invoice queries and working to prevent recurrence
  • Support the customer service team by delivering prompt status updates and resolution to issues raised

Personal Specification of the Supplier Manager:

  • Experience in Supplier Management, Logistics and Inventory or Material Control
  • Experience in an Automotive/Industrial/Retail sector or in Logistics and Distribution
  • Strong client interface skills, with experience of communicating at a Senior level
  • Demonstrable problem solving, delivering significant business benefit
  • Project management experience to deliver strategic programme activity
  • Self-motivated, positive and proactive 'can do' attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and in a fast-paced changing environment

Salary

Up to £34,000

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • 22 Days (Plus Bank Holidays)
