A fantastic new opportunity for a dynamic procurement professional to join a busy manufacturing organisation as a Supply Chain Assistant.
Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Assistant;
Respond appropriately to MRP messages.
Schedule new requirements in Production, dependent on the availability of material and capacity.
Update and maintaining accurate ERP data to facilitate effective use of the system throughout the business.
Manage the transition of products through product development phases of the lifecycle as relevant to ERP, demand planning, and forecast.
Manage inventory commitments in the supply chain and stock levels as they relate to products and demand.
Ensure effective monthly demand plan is in place, to identify and resolve critical supply / demand imbalances.
Review, improve and continuously develop the processes used for all tasks to increase their efficiency.
Personal Specification of the Supply Chain Assistant;
Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent IT skills including Intermediate Excel skills.
Good working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems.
Ability to effectively prioritise workload.
Ability to work well on own initiative and as part of a team.
Strong problem solving skills.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
