A fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a leading manufacturing organisation as a Supply Chain Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager;

Coordinate all aspects of material flow and part delivery within the organisation.

Manage inventory and control excess and obsolete materials.

Be the Subject Matter Expert for Inventory and Purchasing modules of the business system.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and customers.

Contract management in relation to all materials

Develop, maintain, and coordinate a system for regularly scheduling contract reviews.

Review purchasing practices regularly.

Maximise cost savings.

Develop most suitable purchasing arrangement for commodities.

Lead the resolution of equipment and supply quality and service problems with vendors.

Assist in the preparation of the departmental operating and capital budgets.

Coach, lead, and develop team members to ensure organisational goals and objectives are met.

Personal Specification of the Supply Chain Manager;

Proven Procurement & Inventory Management experience is essential.

Degree and / or Professional Qualifications would be preferred.

Experience within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment.

Strong Leadership skills.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Good working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma would be preferred.

Ability to effectively prioritise workload.

Self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Flexibility to travel to meet suppliers as required.

This role would also suit you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, Materials Manager, Purchasing Team Leader, Senior Buyer, Purchasing Controller or Supplier Manager.
