Supply Chain Manager

An exciting aerospace company in Oxfordshire are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to come and join their team and help develop a strategic supply chain and build the business, this is a brand new role within a growing team who will have a great deal of autonomy to set up processes and procedures inline with business objectives.

Duties of the Supply Chain Manager

• Have control over Procurement and Supply Chain functions and manage logistics, warehouse and materials function effectively.
• Ensure all materials are readily available and forecast any shortages or issues to resolve any problems before they happen.
• Ensure the continuity of operations and new product introduction to production.
• Have an excellent level of understanding of commodity cost structures and drive negotiations to achieve this including VA/VE discussion with engineers.
• Have an appreciation and awareness of the environmental impact of supply chain and drive any initiative to minimums environmental impact.

Skills and Experienced Required for the Supply Chain Manager

• Previous management experience leading a operational/technical/engineering supply chain.
• Excellent knowledge of aerospace and automotive.
• Good IT skills including ERP or MRP systems with a excellent level of understand of MSP function.
• Strong customer focus, highly analytical and excellent organisation skills.
• Ideally a member of CIPS but this is not essential.
• Experience with customer service and supplier management skills.
• Proven track record of effective management of Supply Chain and/or Logistics functions.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
