A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Procurement professional to join a leading organisation as a Supply Chain Manager. This role will be responsible for leading the supply chain team to manage the warehousing and distribution operations.

Specific Job Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager;

Development of strategic supply chain and support solutions.

Provide clear and strategic leadership to staff to ensure they have the appropriate skills, tools and motivation to ensure effective delivery of objectives.

Work with the customer teams to ensure each service type has an appropriate, deliverable, capable solution.

Manage existing and develop new improvement projects to support implementation of the Standard Operating Model and alignment to the business strategy.

Be responsible for the continuous improvement of the supply chain.

Develop the Standard Operating Model to deliver a capable supply chain solution.

Lead an inventory management approach to provide the best balance between cost and availability of parts.

Drive good Sales, Inventory & Operational Planning practices.

Provide performance management dashboards to support the function and use them to manage and improve service levels.

Support development of new business opportunities and contribute to business winning strategies.

Ensure management structures support a culture of effective team working, continuous improvement and innovation.

 

Personal Specification of the Supply Chain Manager;

Degree qualified or equivalent experience.

Professional Qualifications would be an advantage.

Significant Supply Chain Management experience within a complex organisation.

Multi-site Operational Management.

Experience within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment.

Strong Leadership & Change Management skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Excellent IT skills including MS Office.
Self-Motivated and Enthusiastic.

 

This role would suit an individual with previous experience in the following roles; Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Director, Head of Supply Chain, Head of Procurement, Operations Manager.
